Odisha BJP Alleges Govt Apathy In Covid Mgmt In Rural Areas, BJD Hits Back
Senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament Basant Panda on Monday (May 17) blamed the state government for the alleged severe Covid mismanagement, especially in handling cases in the rural areas. The senior leader put forth certain proposals before the state government so that it can effectively tackle the pandemic crisis. Panda asked the government to increase testing and tracing in rural areas along with taking steps for the functioning of Temporary Medical Centres for the migrants. He further suggested implementation of stringent measures to combat and prevent the spread of the virus in rural pockets.In response, senior BJD MLA Pramila Mallik hit back at the opposition party, and questioned the efficiency of BJP-ruled states and party’s interest in helping migrant labourers of Odisha in their respective states.
