Police Visits Wife Bidyabharti’s Village
As a part of the ongoing investigation into the death of Paralakhemundi Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF), Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra, the Police reportedly visited the village of wife Bidyabharti on Sunday. As per reports a vehicle from Kaptipada had brought Bidyabharti on the day of the death of her husband.
The driver of the vehicle will also be questioned in connection with the matter. In this regard a team of Paralakhemundi Police has reportedly visited the village of Bidyabharti in Kaptipada of Mayurbhanj district. As 21 days have already passed without any headway, victim’s brother, Ranjan Mohapatra has also raised questions over the pace of investigation.
Moreover, Ranjan has also demanded a CBI investigation into the matter. Earlier, Police had already interrogated 6 persons in the case. Moreover, the post mortem report of the deceased released last week revealed that that the Odisha Forest Service (OFS) officer had died of 95% burn injuries.
Alleging foul play in the death of Soumya Ranjan, the family members of the deceased have filed a complaint against three persons, including wife Bidyabharati, alleging murder.
