Losing her aunt to Covid was extremely painful for this eight-year-old girl. She didn’t want any other family to experience the same pain. Displaying a heart of gold, this little girl Aslesha Kashyap of Bolangir’s Bairam Nagar decided to donate all her savings towards Abhishek Mohapatra’s ECMO treatment. She broke her piggy bank and donated Rs 2000 of various denominations starting from two Rupee coins to 50 Rupee notes.
Aslesha says that after seeing her aunt pass away due to Covid, she didn’t want anyone else to suffer the same way. Hence, she decided to help Abhishek who was recently airlifted to Kolkata for his ECMO treatment. The contribution might look meagre but the urge she has shown to save a life has won many hearts.Aslesha’s mother broke down while remembering her deceased sister.
She said that Aslesha had seen her family go through grief when she lost her aunt a month ago, so she decided to donate all her savings. Both Aslesha and her mother have requested everyone to donate and do their bit in saving Abhishek's life. Abhishek is critically ill and his family is collecting the required fund for treatment through crowdfunding.
