A 12-ft long python was rescued from a village in Jajpur district on Saturday.Some locals spotted the reptile in Pubuli village road in Samia Panchayat under Bairi Forest range. Immediately, they called up the Forest Department officials to catch the python.
Receiving information, Forest Guard Ashwini Kumar Sahoo and Forest Official Rajat kumar Mohanty rushed to the spot. The Forest Department personnel rescued the python with the assistance of the villagers. According to officials, the python was later safely released into Kapilas forest.
