Odisha is likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall from June 10-June 14. According to the latest forecast of the regional Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar, a low pressure is likely to form over North Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood around June 11, 2021.
The Met Centre predicted that under the influence of this low pressure, South West Monsoon is likely to advance into most parts of Odisha.
Moreover, the Met Centre has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershower to occur at a few places over the districts of Odisha in the next 24 hours. On account of expected thunderstorm with lightning activity, yellow warning has been issued for the districts of Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Balasore.
