On the occasion of Nuakhai festival, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has virtually inaugurated light and sound show at Samaleswari temple in Sambalpur district on Saturday.
The light and sound show will be organized in three different languages i.e., Odia, Hindi and English and the duration of each show will be around 37 minutes. Earlier in the year 2017, the light and sound show program was proposed at the Samaleswari temple and the work on the project had begun in 2018.
As per report the project got delayed due to the pandemic and around Rs 8 crore was invested in the project. Samaleswari temple, which is the 16th century temple is a major tourist destination of the region. It was constructed by the first Chauhan king Balram Dev of Sambalpur.
