The third session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2021 will be conducted from July 20 onwards. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank shared the information on Tuesday. The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued an official notification informing that the remaining two sessions of the JEE (Main) - 2021 will be conducted from July 20, 2021.
According to the official notification, the number of cities where the examination will be held has been increased from 232 to 334 in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Apart from this, the official notification also read that the number of examination centres in every shift will be increased from 660 to 828.
As per the details shared by the NTA, the session three of JEE Main 2021 which was earlier scheduled to be held in April, will be conducted from July 20 till July 25, this year. The submission of application process for the third session exam which began on July 6 will continue till 9 PM of July 8.
Similarly, the fourth session of JEE Main 2021 which was earlier scheduled to be held in May, will be conducted from July 27 till August 2, 2021. The submission of application for the same will begin from July 9th and continue till 9 PM of July 12th.
The NTA also mentioned that due to limited time, there will be no correction window available after the application process closes on July 8th for the third session and on July 12th for the fourth session. At least is 6.80 lakh candidates had already registered for the April session while 6.09 lakh candidates had registered for the May session.
