Indian Idol Finalist Shanmukhapriya In Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger! Singer Offered Big Project

The journey of Indian Idol 12 ended last month, and the finalists and most popular contestants of the show are being roped in for some exciting projects. Yodelling Queen Shanmukhapriya is the latest in the buzz.

If one might recall, 'Arjun Reddy' star Vijay Deverakonda had sent a message on the finale of the singing-reality show and had asked Shanmukhapriya to meet him in Hyderabad and sing in his movie.

And guess what, the actor kept his promise and invited Shanmukhapriya over to his place. As per reports, the popular Telugu actor asked Shanmukhapriya to render a chartbuster for his upcoming pan-Indian film 'Liger' which will also be Vijay's launch in the Bollywood industry.

Welcoming the little rockstar on board, Vijay said there is no greater happiness than being able to make someone’s dream come true. In the video released by the makers of the film, the young and aspiring singer meets Vijay at his home.

Deverakonda’s mother felicitates Shanmukhapriya and presents her with some gifts. Shanmukhapriya was also super-excited and was seen thanking Vijay for bestowing her with the opportunity of singing for one of her favourite actors.

Shanmukhapriya lent her voice for one of the songs in this terrific album. The movie, which stars Ananya Panday as female lead, is being produced jointly by Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta under Puri Connects and Dharma Productions.

Actor Vijay will be essaying the role of a boxer and the film is being made in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
