The sensational singing reality show ‘Indian Idol 12’ pulled its curtains down on Sunday. The greatest grand finale ended in a great fashion with people's favourite, all-rounder Pawandeep Rajan lifting the winner's trophy of the 12th season of the Sony TV's musical reality show. Pawandeep also won a prize money of Rs 25 lakh and a car.
The great grand finale was hosted for 12 long hours on the occasion of 75th Independence Day in India. Acing the reality show with some stupendous performances, Pawandeep Rajan was followed by Arunita Kanjilal and Sayli Kamble as runners-up. The finale, which began at 12 pm and continued till 12 midnight, was planned to celebrate show's success over the years. Showcasing the musical extravaganza with the six finalists — Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Nihal Tauro, Sayli Kamble, Mohd Danish and Shanmukhapriya, the entire show and the finale in particular was a complete delight for fans. Some of the ex-contestants along with celebrities including Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani cheered for the finalists in the ‘Greatest Finale Ever’.
Famed singers Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu, Sukhwinder Singh, Javed Ali and Sadhna Sargam also performed with the finalists on the concluding day. Even south star Vijay Deverkonda shared a video message to boost the confidence of the participants and revealed how he enjoyed watching the show. Well, for fans, all's well that ends well and this season will be remembered for years for numerous reasons.
