For the last few days, India has been witnessing a declining trend in the daily COVID-19 cases. However, the infection count is still over 3 lakh. At least 3.29 lakh persons tested positive in the country in the last 24 hours, pushing the overall tally of COVID-19 cases to over 2.26 crore. During the period, the country also reported 3876 fatalities due to the deadly infection. With over 17.2 crore people vaccinated as on May 11, Union Health Ministry informed that over 18 crore vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs free of cost by the Government of India, so far. More than 90 lakh doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered, while over 7 Lakh doses, in addition, will be received by States/UTs in next 3 days. India sees another day of DECLINING COVID-19 CASES. Country witnessed 3,29,942 CORONAVIRUS CASES in last 24 hours. 3876 people SUCCUMBED to the lethal disease during the period. DEATHS from the deadly infection in India rose to 2,49,942. TOTAL COVID CASES in India reached 2,26,62,575. India’s ACTIVE CASE TALLY stood at 37,15,221 after today’s surge. A total of 3,56,082 Covid-19 patients have been DISCHARGED in the last 24 hours. Total 1,90,27,304 people have RECOVERED from the infection so far. As on Tuesday, 17,27,10,066 persons have been VACCINATED in India. So far, Govt of India has provided 18cr vaccine doses to States/UTs FREE OF COST.
