A cyclonic circulation over Gangetic West Bengal and its neighbouring areas will cause heavy rainfall in several districts of Odisha. Currently, the Southwest monsoon is active over Odisha. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for several areas from morning of June 18 till 19th morning.
As per the forecast, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Boudh. Similarly, from the morning of June 19 till June 20, a yellow warning has been issued for heavy rainfall, which is very likely to occur at some places over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, and Keonjhar.
