Ganesh Chaturthi 2021: Idol Makers Hope To Make Better Sale This Year

Sculptors from across country are busy preparing idols of Lord Ganesh of all sizes ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi festival. The first wave of Covid-19 pandemic had affected the business of these small scale idol makers last year.

However, this year, these idol makers are hopeful that they could make satisfactory sale of Ganesh idols ahead of the Chaturthi festival. These are some idol makers in Amritsar, who are engaged in preparing the Ganesh idols ahead of the festival.

While speaking to ANI, this idol maker described his plight of how his businesses were affected amid the Covid-19 pandemic crisis last year. Meanwhile, some local residents in the region reached the shop to purchase Ganesh idols ahead of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

One of the Ganesh devotees said that she prays life gets back to normal soon and everybody stays safe. On the other hand, idol makers from Guwahati also shown their concern over sale of Ganesh and Vishwakarma idols ahead of the festivals.

The idol makers have also said that without the SOP (Standard operating procedure) and guidelines for making Durga Puja idols, it is difficult to initiate the idol making work of Goddess Durga.
