According to the Union Health Ministry, as many as 54 districts in 12 states and Union Territories reported a Covid positivity rate over 10 per cent for the week ending July 26.
As far as the scenario in Odisha is concerned, there are still a few districts which are showing a TPR above 5%. Under such circumstances, a decision regarding further unlock in Odisha would be taken depending on the virus transmission, case load and people's adherence to Covid guidelines, said DMET Chief CBK Mohanty.
He said that appropriate steps will be taken as per prevailing situation. Asked on the daily death figures, the top health official informed that Odisha will most likely finish the audit process of backlog Covid deaths within a fortnight.
