Four Persons In Ambulance Killed, 2 Critical In Road Mishap In Odisha

In a major accident as many as four persons in an ambulance were killed in Rayagada district on Friday. Two other persons were also critically injured in the accident. The incident occurred near Manjarikopa under Ambadala in Rayagada district when the ill-fated private ambulance met with the accident. The mishap reportedly occurred at around 2PM and 2:30 PM. The ambulance was reportedly returning from Bissam Cuttack to Bangomunda in Bolangir after kidney treatment of a patient.

According to sources, while the ambulance was returning, there was a collision with a tanker. The tanker was reportedly coming from the opposite direction. At least 3 persons died on spot while three were critically injured. The injured were immediately rushed to Muniguda hospital for treatment. After being taken to the hospital, another person succumbed to the injuries. While all the four persons who died in the mishap were in the ambulance, one of them was a woman.
