At least 5 kg ganja was seized near Similiguda in Koraput district on Friday. The seized contraband is estimated to be worth Rs 6 lakh. The Similiguda Police arrested two persons in connection with the case. As per reports, the ganja was reportedly being smuggled in an SUV when Similiguda Police intercepted the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped at Doli Amba square on National Highway 26. The contraband item was being smuggled in 25 packets in the vehicle. According to sources, the ganja was on its way from Pottangi to Similiguda when the Police seized the vehicle. The Inspector In-Charge (IIC) of Similiguda Police Station, Dhiren Behera informed that the two arrested accused are Babula from Maliput and Narayan Sagri from Hataguda village of Pottangi region.
