Hundreds of ex-regular students under Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) gheraoed and staged demonstration in front of the board's office in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday (Aug 24), demanding the publication of their Plus 2 results.
The students demanded the board to publish their results based on the alternate assessment used for evaluating the results of regular students. Sources said that the students staged the protest under the banner of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
The protesting students alleged that the board had failed them in the exam in 2020, after they had failed to appear for the same. But later, the board had proposed that the students would be evaluated based on their class 10 results. However, the board withheld the student's results, failing them instead.
The students alleged that this caused them to lose a precious academic year. Therefore, the disgruntled students demanded the board to publish their Plus 2 results based on their Matric exam results.
