This is Gayadhara Biswal from Khaira block in Balasore district and you may wonder why this attire. Well, this is his unique idea of spreading awareness about COVID19. Dressed as the demon king Kansa, Gayadhara goes around villages on his cycle spreading awareness on the COVID-19 pandemic. Gayadhara has put up COVID awareness posters on his cycle and seeks attention of the people by blowing his horn. He stops by to give tips on COVID-appropriate behaviour and how to stay safe during the pandemic. Gayadhara says that he has already travelled across seven districts of Odisha creating awareness regarding COVID19. Gayadhara earns his living by selling earthen lamps (diyas) at temples. However, Gayadhara has proven that a strong resolve and not resources is essential to bring about a change.
