If people fail to adhere to the prescribed Covid-19 guidelines during the festival season, then the state might witness a Kerala-like situation. This information was given by Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) Chief, CBK Mohanty on Wednesday (Sept 15).
Speaking on the height of the idols, Mohanty informed that there is no direct co-relation between the height and infections. However, the height affects the number of people congregating on the spot to see and visit the spot.
Meanwhile, the DMET chief also urged the general public to stay alert and adhere to the guidelines, not just during festival season but at all the times, to avoid any untoward situation in the future.
