Does COVID-19 vaccine make you magnetic?
This question arose and disturbed many when they saw some bizarre videos on the internet.
Recently, several videos emerged from parts of the country wherein people allegedly claimed to have achieved some kind of magnetic powers after taking the COVID-19 vaccine jab. These viral videos showed metal objects sticking to the arms and body of vaccine recipients, raising doubts over the safety of the vaccines.
Recently, Arvind Sonar from Nashik, claimed that his body has got magnetic powers after getting the second dose of Covid vaccine. In the video, it can be seen that coins, steel spoons are getting stuck to the arms of Sonar. Many others like Arvind Sonar claimed to have developed magnetic powers. However, the central government has rubbished such claims.
The government clarified that the viral videos claiming that COVID-19 vaccines can make people magnetic are "baseless". The Press Information Bureau's (PIB) fact-checking arm, PIB Fact Check released a video stating that the vaccines against coronavirus are completely safe and do not contain any metal-based ingredients.
People may experience mild side-effects like mild headaches, pain or swelling at the injection site, and mild fever after getting the COVID-19 vaccine, the government said. The government has urged people to get vaccinated and not fall prey to such misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines.
