CBSE added two key provisions in its assessment policy for Class 12 Board Results on Monday. In its affidavit filed in the Supreme Court on Monday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) made these two additions to its assessment policy. According to the affidavit, a Committee will now be constituted by the Board and any disputes regarding computation of Class 12 results will now be referred to this panel.
The second key provision pertains to students who are not satisfied with the assessment criteria. As per the board, an online facility will be provided to students to register for exams, in case candidates are not satisfied with their results. According to CBSE, optional exams for students unsatisfied with the marking criteria can tentatively be held August 15 and September 15.
Moreover, the exams would be conducted if the situation is deemed conducive on the backdrop of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, CBSE has also informed in the affidavit that results of the Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be declared by July 31. Last week, SC had asked the board to incorporate the provision for dispute resolution for Class 12 Board Exam Results. Apart from this, SC had also asked the Board to provide a timeline for result declaration & conduct of optional exams.
