In a major drug haul, Excise department officials in Balasore's Jaleswar seized 150 gram of brown sugar worth around Rs 15 Lakh at Chalanti Square along NH-60 in the area on Thursday (Aug 26).
As per sources, the excise officials arrested two persons, including a woman involved in the case. Reports said that based on a tip-off, a 15-member Excise team conducted a raid in the area.
Following the raid, they nabbed the two peddlers along with seizing the contraband, the vehicle used for peddling narcotics and other incriminating materials from their possession.
