Odisha on Monday recorded the highest-ever deaths due to COVID-19 infection since the onset of the pandemic. As many as 52 persons succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. The total fatalities in the state climbed to 4248, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department. There has been no significant decline in the daily infections as Odisha recorded 2,803 positive cases during the period, of which 1,597 were from quarantine cases and 1206 are local contacts. The state's TPR stood at 3.75%.
