While daily infections in Odisha continued to hover over 8k, the virus has claimed as many as 37 lives in the last 24 hours - the most in a day since the onset of the pandemic. The state's TPR stood at 14%.
Odisha sees the DEADLIEST DAY of the Covid-19 pandemic. Record 37 persons succumb to the virus in a day, DEATH TOLL mounts to 2791. Odisha logged over 8K cases for the SECOND CONSECUTIVE DAY. As many as 8,735 COVID POSITIVE CASES were detected in the last 24 hours. As per I&PR data, 4892 cases were from QUARANTINE, rest 3843 are LOCAL CONTACT cases.
Odisha’s Test Positivity Rate (TPR) at 14 per cent. After today’s surge, ACTIVE CASE COUNT stood at 89,956. KHORDHA district recorded the HIGHEST daily cases with 1,222 positives, followed by CUTTACK with 673 Covid-19 cases. Odisha’s total Covid-19 POSITIVE TALLY jumps to 7,73,732. Odisha saw 10,405 RECOVERIES on Monday. Till date, 6,80,932 people have RECUPERATED FROM SARS-CoV-2 in Odisha.
