Bhubaneswar Youth Hacked To Death Over 'Rash Driving'

In a shocking incident, a youth was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants at Laxmi Sagar area in Bhubaneswar on Monday (June 7). The deceased has been identified as Kartik Sahoo. Last night, Kartik was reportedly involved in a verbal altercation with a few miscreants over rash driving of vehicle.

Later around 10:30 PM, the miscreants called Kartik from his house and took him to an isolated place. The miscreants then attacked him with sharp weapons and left him on the spot bleeding. Frantically enquiring about Kartik’s whereabouts, his family could trace him but only to see him in a critical condition. Kartik was immediately rushed to Capital Hospital for treatment.

However, he was referred to Cuttack’s SCB Medical College and Hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors. While the accused are on the run, police have initiated an investigation into the alleged murder. The family members of the deceased are also being questioned to find more clues regarding the murder accused. As per reports, 4-5 miscreants were involved in this crime and all of them belonged to the same locality. The motive of the crime is yet to be ascertained.
