Days after declaration of matric results, Odisha government on Wednesday (August 4) informed that the Plus II admissions in the state are now open.
Releasing an SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) in this regard, the directorate of Higher Secondary Education in Odisha said that students can take admission in online mode through the Student Academic Management System or the SAMS portal and download the application form.
The government will soon release a notification mentioning details regarding the admission. In the SOP, the directorate informed that online application for admission into Class 11 (First Year) of Arts, Commerce, Science, Vocational and Sanskrit streams will be notified on the SAMS website.
Applicants are instructed to refer 'Common Prospectus' on the SAMS portal to obtain all e-admission related information prior to filling and submission of on-line common application form. Students are also requested to keep last-year’s cut-off marks of different Higher Secondary Schools and their fee structure in mind while selecting their choice of educational institute.
Further, the students have been instructed to apply online using their own mobile phone number since all admission related necessary information would be sent on the same. Meanwhile, it was made clear in the SOP that the admissions will be held online and offline mode is strictly prohibited due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
