Exciting news for all the fans of actor Manoj Bajpayee and Tollywood star actress Samantha Akkineni! On Friday (August 20), 'The Family Man 2' actors Manoj Bajpayee and Samantha Akkineni bagged the Best Actors award at the latest edition of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM).
Manoj won the award for Best Actor (Male) while Samantha was honoured with Best Actor (Female) for their commendable performances in the popular web show-
'The Family Man 2'. The winners of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2021 were announced in a virtual award ceremony with several stars from various film industries in attendance. After winning the best actor in a Series for The Family Man 2, Manoj said that it was a "proud moment" for the entire team. He said that it is a big win not for him but for the team of 'The Family Man', and his character, Srikant Tiwari, has been loved by everyone and it is also one of the top shows in the world now. Meanwhile, Samantha who made her digital debut with 'The Family Man 2', took to Instagram and expressed her happiness by thanking the creators Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.
The actress also said that it was her big dive into OTT and she is beyond happy to receive a certificate of approval for the performance. However, Actors Vidya Balan and Tamil actor Suriya have also won Best Actor in Feature awards for their films 'Sherni' and 'Soorarai Pottru' respectively.
