BJP National Vice President, Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda visited the cyclone hit areas of Kendrapara district on Thursday (May 27). Panda visited the district to review relief work and take stock of the damages caused by ‘Cyclone Yaas’ which wreaked havoc in several coastal and Northern districts of Odisha including Kendrapara on May 26.
Panda took stock of the damages in Rajnagar area which was battered by the cyclone yesterday. During the visit, Panda stated that BJP party members were already prepared in advance to start relief work.
BJP National Vice-President, Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda said, From Bhartiya Janta Party’s side, everyone, including our District Vice President and other office bearers had already made preparations. They had collected relief materials and coordinated with the administration. They had already arranged the relief vehicles along with the required passes. The preparation has been done properly.
From what I can see and from the information that we have received from outside, maximum damage was in North Odisha and West Bengal. However, today we are heading to assess the damage caused in our area such as in Rajnagar area. Already some of our relief work had begun in and around the city. Wherever relief work is required, our party workers will extend all help.
