‘Amazon.in Big Error’: Rs 1 Lakh Toshiba Air Conditioner Gets Listed For Rs 5900

How lucky you will feel if you get an air conditioner at just Rs 5,900? What if you were told that the air conditioner’s actual price is around Rs 1 lakh. Don’t believe it? Many online buyers reportedly cashed in on this offer on Amazon India. According to several reports on national media, Amazon India, on Monday (July 5) listed a Toshiba air conditioner (AC) which costs Rs 96,700 for Rs 5900, at big fat 94 per cent discount. It is believed that the e-commerce giant made a listing error for the Toshiba 2021 range split system AC. While the actual price of the AC was Rs 96,700, it showed up on the listing page at a whopping discount of Rs 90,800. This listing also offered the option of EMI of just Rs 278. However, Amazon quickly revised the listing and now the same Toshiba 1.8 ton 5-star inverter AC is available for around 59,000. However, this is not the first time that such listing anomalies have been observed on Amazon. Similar discrepancies in price listing & deliveries have been reported earlier as well.
