Famed south Indian actress Anushka Shetty, who played the role of ‘Devasena’ in the magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ franchise, turned 40 on 7th November. The actress had gained massive popularity along with south Indian actor Prabhas after starring together in ‘Baahubali’ series.
Post the movie’s release, several rumours of them dating each other surfaced while a few reports also claimed that the two were slated to tie the knot. However, over the years, the two have cleared the air multiple times and maintained that they are just close friends.
Anushka had earlier in an interview with a news portal also stated that Prabhas was one of her ‘3 AM friends’. But did you know that long ago, there was also a report that had hinted towards an incident where the ‘Saaho’ actor had stopped Anushka from getting married? Yes, you heard that right!
As per several reports, during the shooting of ‘Baahubali’, which had taken place within a span of 5 years, Prabhas had reportedly asked Anushka to focus on SS Rajamouli's films and refrain from getting married at that time.
And it seems that Anushka did take Prabhas’ advice to focus on their projects seriously, which is clear in the mammoth success that both the movies managed to garner. It is to be noted that the two actors have known each other for more than 15 years now and apart from ‘Baahubali’ 1 and 2, they have worked together in several hit films like ‘Mirchi’ and ‘Billa’.
