After around 18 months hiatus, offline classes of class 6th and 7th students in Odisha resumed on Monday (November 15). The students have been advised to follow the SOPs and the administration is taking all necessary steps to facilitate their classes.
Along with that, the hostels for the students also reopened today. As per the guidelines issued by State government, the teaching hours of the students will be from 9.30 AM to 1 PM.
There will be 3 hours of teaching and half-an-hour break everyday excluding Sundays and other holidays. However, students have the option to choose between offline and online classes following consultation with their parents.
Apart from the Matric, answer sheets of Madhyama and the State Open School Certificate Examination (SOSC) will also be evaluated.
As per the norms, the UGC shall not declare an Open University to be fit to receive grants from the central government, the commission or any other organisation receiving any funds from the Centre, unless the UGC is satisfied in respect of the infrastructural norms.
As per the CHSE notification, the Plus 2 board exams scheduled on May 31 (Tuesday), for Mathematics (Arts/Science), Home Science (Arts) and BFC-Biology (vocational) have been postponed and rescheduled
Orissa High Court had earlier given a clean chit by upholding the validity of the Act, but UGC had moved the apex court challenging the decision
