The physical classes of first year undergraduate (UG) students for 2021-22 session across all streams in Odisha commenced on Monday (November 1).
Along with that, the hostels also opened for the students from today. The offline classes will be held with adherence to the Covid guidelines, as directed by the Higher Education Department.
Face masks are made mandatory while students have been asked to maintain social distancing in classrooms, libraries, laboratories and other places on the campuses. The students have been asked to self monitor their health and report in case of developing any illness. An isolation room should be kept ready for any emergency, the department has said.
Classroom teaching had been suspended since March last year owing to the coronavirus pandemic. While the UG classes have begun, the higher education department has said that offline classes for PG first year students will commence from November 15th.
