Vaccine registration process will soon begin for 25.53 lakh children of Odisha in the 15-18 years age group. During the next vaccination drive, precautionary dose will be administered to over 7 lakh frontline workers and elderly persons with co-morbidities. Vaccination drive is underway at 200 stations, and if required, schools and colleges will be designated as vaccine centres, informed state health and family welfare director Bijay Panigrahi. Further, he said that eight mobile teams have been deployed in each block of Odisha. What’s concerning is 29 lakh beneficiaries in the state are yet to take the first dose of Covid vaccine.
