Omicron In Odisha: 2 Infected From Non At-Risk Counties, Have Mild Symptoms: Top Health Official

After ILS (Institute of Life Sciences) Bhubaneswar confirmed detection of two ‘Omicron’ variant cases in Odisha, state Public Health Director, Niranjan Mishra on Tuesday (Dec 21) revealed more information on the newly detected cases.

Mishra said the two infected individuals have returned from two non at-risk countries– Qatar and Nigeria and are currently in a stable condition. Mishra also informed that the two were detected during surveillance and are currently in isolation.

The health authorities have already conducted their contact tracing and sent samples for required tests.
