As far as Covid positivity rate is concerned, situation in Odisha is much better as compared to other states. This was informed by the state Public Health Director Niranjan Mishra on Monday.
Addressing the media, the top health official informed that 18 foreign returnees had tested positive out of which 8 were detected with Omicron variant after genome sequencing. Mishra informed that almost all of them are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms and their condition is stable.
Further, he said that there is no requirement of lockdown or night curfew as of now and restrictions will only be imposed if positivity touches 10%.
