The Odisha Family Welfare Director, Bijay Panigrahi on Saturday (Dec 4) revealed that the Covid-19 vaccination in the state has been stopped temporarily due to Cyclone Jawad which is likely to reach near Coast on Dec 5th.
The top health official revealed that the vaccination has been stopped in all the coastal districts of the state, which are expected to bear the brunt of the cyclone with heavy rainfall and elevated wind speed.

The daily positivity was recorded at 2.73 per cent, while the weekly positivity was pegged at 1.71 per cent.

In a letter to the director of Capital Hospital, RGH Hospital, CDMOs, and superintendents of all government medical colleges and hospitals, the Public Health department director directed to keep all healthcare facilities ready to manage Covid cases requiring hospitalization.
The molecule, known as TriSb92, can be a key tool in preparing for future pandemics, as it is aimed at preventing both the transmission and spread of the virus, said researchers from the University of Helsinki in Finland.
