A decomposed carcass of a female elephant was found at Ranibania Reserve Forest under Khutnuni Range in Athagarh Forest Division on Tuesday (March 30). Even though the exact reason of the death of the pachyderm is yet to be ascertained, the forest department suspects it died due to a viral infection.
