Eight Odisha Families Ostracised By Kangaroo Court In Odisha

This is the bizarre story of 8 families in Silapokhari village under Rajnagar block of Kendrapada district. They have been the victims of a diktat of a kangaroo court, which has ostracized them. The court has also ordered a penalty of Rs 151 if they speak to anyone or they are spoken to. It is alleged that it is an offshoot of a dispute related to a construction of a village community centre. Khageshwar Das, who is a resident of the village, objected the construction of a community centre in front of his house.
