Unidentified person fires outside Bollywood director Rohit Shetty’s residence in Mumbai’s Juhu

Unidentified persons allegedly fired four rounds outside Bollywood director Rohit Shetty’s residence in Mumbai’s Juhu area around 12.43 am, triggering heightened security, police said on Sunday. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Following the firing, Mumbai Police reportedly deployed additional personnel outside the filmmaker’s home as a precautionary measure. Police teams are probing the case from multiple angles to identify the assailants and determine the motive behind the attack, which remains unclear.

Police and forensic teams reached the spot soon after the incident and launched an investigation to trace those involved and establish the circumstances surrounding the firing. Meanwhile, video clips showing a heavy police presence, barricades and patrol vehicles outside Shetty’s residence have surfaced on social media.

Rohit Shetty and his family have not issued any statement so far. The incident has once again raised concerns over the security of Bollywood celebrities, especially in the wake of past firing incidents outside actor Salman Khan’s residence, some of which were claimed by the Bishnoi gang.
