In a development that has caught the attention of the startup and e-commerce ecosystem, Meesho has announced the resignation of one of its senior-most executives. Megha Agarwal, Chief Experience Officer (Business), has stepped down from her role, with details of her exit and compensation quickly becoming a talking point online.

E-commerce major Meesho, in a regulatory filing dated January 7, confirmed that Megha Agarwal has resigned from her position. The filing did not disclose the reasons behind her departure. It also stated that the company would share further details at an appropriate time, in line with standard industry practices. Meesho did not clarify whether a successor has been appointed to the role.

Agarwal had been associated with Meesho for over six years, joining the company in September 2019. During her tenure, she played a key role across multiple verticals, holding leadership positions in growth, strategy, and business operations.

Her journey at the company included roles such as chief of staff, vice president and general manager – user growth, and CXO–growth, before she was elevated to the role of Chief Experience Officer (Business) in October 2023.

Educational and Professional Background

Megha Agarwal holds a BTech in Electrical Engineering (Power) from IIT Delhi and a master’s degree in management from INSEAD. Prior to Meesho, she worked with A T Kearney Consulting (India) and Nomura Financial Advisory & Securities (India).

Salary Details That Spark Interest

In FY25, Agarwal received an aggregate compensation of Rs 2.29 crore, which included an annual variable pay of Rs 9.4 lakh for FY24, paid in FY25.
