Have you forgotten your Windows PIN for your Microsoft account and are unable to log in? It may occur if you haven't used your computer in a long time or if your new password is difficult to remember. We will demonstrate simple methods for resetting a forgotten Windows 10 and 11 password.

Reset password for Windows 10:

If you added security questions when you created your local account for Windows 10, you can sign back in by answering security questions.

After you enter an incorrect password:

1. Click the Reset password link, on the sign-in screen. If a PIN is more your style, see PIN sign-in issues. If you're using a networked work device, you might not see an option to reset your password or PIN. Contact your administrator in that case.

2. Respond to your security questions.

3. Please enter a new password.

4. Login, as usual, using the new password.

Reset password for Windows 11:

If you added security questions when you created your Windows 11 local account, you can log in by answering them.

1. If you enter an incorrect login password on the Windows sign-in screen, you will see a Reset password link. Click the Reset Password button.

2. Then you can proceed to answer the security questions. After that, Windows will prompt you to enter a new password for your local account. Create a new password for your Windows 11 account and remember it.

3. Enter the new password into your computer.

If you forgot your Windows 10 and 11 passwords, these are the easiest way to get back into your account.
