Google Person Finder launches tool for Kerala Floods

Kerala: Google India has updated its Person Finder tool to aid searches and rescue operations in flood-ravished Kerala:

Though it lacks certain features as of now, the tool can be very helpful to locate people scattered all over the state under the present circumstances.

There is no feature to input the address coordinates of any person, but people have suggested a workaround way. Enter the location details in the ‘notes’ section until the tool is further updated.

The death toll in the state has risen to 167 as of August 17 noon. Friends and relatives of stranded persons in Kerala are crying for help in every possible avenue.

Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp have been instrumental in sharing information and collecting relief fund and materials from all over the country and beyond. Google Person Finder will add to the power of internet by aiding rescue teams in sending help and relief to the victims.
