Odisha is likely to witness thunderstorm activities under impact of Nor'wester from today. The India Meteorological Department has issued warning on the inclement weather for several districts of the state till March 31. Thunderstorm, rainfall, lightning and gusty wind may be experienced during this period.
Meanwhile, IMD has issued yellow warnings for 17 districts that are expected to experience heavy rain and thunderstorm activities today.
Following sweltering heat over the last few days, different places in North, West and South Odisha witnessed intense to moderate thunderstorm activity.
The IMD on Tuesday issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm and lightning in several parts of Odisha.
Titilagarh on Friday recorded the highest maximum temperature of 45 degrees. Apart from Titlagarh, Bolangir district recorded maximum temperature of 44.9, Boudh 44.5, Sambalpur 44.4, Sonepur 44.3 and Jharsuguda recorded 44.2 degree Celisus yesterday.

The Bhubaneswar centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its latest forecast informed that the trough from the cyclonic circulation associated with the low pressure over South interior Karnataka and adjoining north interior Tamil Nadu to interior Odisha across Coastal Andhra has become less marked.
