Justice Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi was sworn in as the 15th chief justice of the Jharkhand High Court by Governor CP Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan. The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato, judges, and senior officials.

At least two people have been killed after being run over by a train at Kalajharia Railway Station in Jharkhand’s Jamtara. As per the railway officials, the incident occurred at around 7 PM on Wednesday.
