While the business organisations in Jaipur have announced a 'bandh', the supporters have also warned of a strike in Jaisalmer and Barmer.

Demanding a CBI probe into the deaths of the Assistant Collector, who was working at the Rourkela ADM office and the ASI of Uditnagar police station, the BJP Mahila Morcha and the BJP Adivasi Morcha have given the 12-hour bandh call. 

From early morning, the BJP workers were seen picketing at strategic locations. While traffic movement on the National Highway 49 and other roads has come to a grinding halt, educational institutions, business establishments, markets and shops remained closed. 

The agitating members blocked roads at important junctions affecting the vehicular movement in the city. While the business establishments and other institutions remain closed, emergency services including education institutes and movement of buses were exempted from the bandh.

In order to raise public sympathy, the ultras apologized to the people and family members of journalist Rohit Biswal who died in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast while trying to go near posters put up by Maoists on February 5, 2022.
