Shikhar Dhawan to begin a new chapter with Sophie Shine; wedding likely in February

Former India opener Shikhar Dhawan is reportedly preparing to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Sophie Shine, in February. As per reports, the wedding festivities are expected to be held in the third week of February in the Delhi-NCR region, with several prominent figures from cricket and the film industry likely to be in attendance.

While specific details of the ceremony are being kept under wraps, sources suggest that arrangements for the grand celebration are already in progress. Those close to the couple describe the occasion as a fresh start, marked by quiet joy and gratitude, adding that Dhawan himself is closely overseeing the planning.

Dhawan’s relationship with Shine, who is an Irish national, drew public attention during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 when the two were seen together in the stands. Reports indicate that the pair first crossed paths in Dubai a few years ago, with their friendship gradually turning into a relationship. They are also said to have been living together for more than a year.

The cricketer was previously married to Ayesha Mukherjee, with whom he shares an 11-year-old son, Zoravar. The marriage ended in divorce in 2023.
