Cuttack: The players of the Odisha Ranji Team are sweating out hard at the DRIEMS Ground at Tangi ahead of their fourth game against Tamil Nadu starting from Thursday. The Odisha team is looking forward to improve its standings this season and the next game has become very crucial.

Chief coach Shiv Sundar Das is expecting a good show by the team, although he is aware of the strength of the opponents. Tamil Nadu is at number four with seven points from its three games.

Speaking to odishatv.in, Odisha coach Shiv Sunder Das said, "I think Tamil Nadu is a good side, they are doing well in the domestic circuit. Hopefully we play to our potential in this game and do well."

Wicket-keeper Rajesh Dhuper has replaced Saurabh Rawat in the 15-member squad and he is set to play in this match. After a poor show so far in the season, Odisha is expected to make a few more changes in the playing XI as well.

"There would be two or three changes that we will figure out before tomorrow morning. Not only in home games but also in each and every game we are looking forward to perform well," said Govinda Poddar, captain of the Odisha side.

Abhinav Mukund-led Tamil Nadu is also pumped up for this game. Having played before at the venue, they are hopeful of a good show against Odisha.

"We have played here before. Last year itself we played a match here. We are quite aware of the conditions here. It is a good ground and good venue to play cricket," said Tamil Nadu skipper Abhinav Mukund.

After qualifying for the quarter-finals last season, Odisha is at the bottom most position of the points table in Group C with only two points in three games. They will be desperately looking for a win in their last home game against Tamil Nadu.
