New Delhi: Medium-pacer Rishi Dhawan's five for 53 helped Himachal Pradesh dismiss Assam for 198 in the second innings and win the Ranji Trophy match by an innings and 133 runs in Guwahati on Wednesday while Delhi and Odisha completed their victories over Gujarat and Haryna, respectively.

Assam trailed Himachal by 331 in the first innings Tuesday and Wednesday they needed to bat throughout the day to salvage a draw at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium.

But their batsmen failed to fend off the challenge posed by right-hander Rishi, who exploited the conditions perfectly. Medium-pacer Vikramjit Malik (two for 23) and Ankush Bedi (two for 31) also dealt telling blows.

At the Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium here, Delhi bowled out Gujarat for 166 in second winnings to win the match by an innings and 109 runs. Wednesday's play was just a formality as the visitors were 152 for seven at stumps on day three. Spinner Varun Sood took six for 43 while Shivam Sharma grabbed four for 52).

At the Chaudhary Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium at Lahli in Rohtak, Odisha lost three wickets before chasing down the 39-run target set by Haryana. Biplab Samantray remained unbeaten, scoring 26, while Mohit Sharma (three for 11) tried his best for the hosts.
