Bhubaneswar/Jakarta: Ace para athlete from Odisha Jayanti Behera continues to shine and bring laurels for the state by clinching a silver medal at the on-going 2018 Asian Para Games in Indonesia’s capital Jakarta.
Behera clinched the silver by clocking 59.71 seconds in the 400 m event just two days after winning a bronze medal.
Former MP Baijayant Jay Panda immediately took to Twitter to wish the athlete on her success at the mega event.

Notably, Jayanti had earlier won a bronze by clocking a time of 27.45 seconds in the 200 metres sprint event.
Jayanti who is a student of Gurukul Athletics at Sakhigopal in Puri district, had earlier won gold in the 400 metres race at the China Open Para Athletics Grand Prix by clocking a time of 1.02 minutes.
She had also won a silver medal at the 100 metres race at the Asian Youth Para Athletic Championship held in Dubai in 2017.
