Panaji: Goa (India) scored in each half to get the better of Macau and enter into the final of football event at the Lusofonia Games here today.

India, who dominated throughout the match, scored through Brendon Fernandes (17th minute) and Sahil Tavora (90th).

Fernandes sounded the first warning when he forced rival keeper Ho Man Fai to make a diving save.

The home team piled on the pressure and created several chances but failed to score until 90th minute when Tovora, who received the ball inside the rival half, made a solo run, got the better of rival defence before adjusting himself inside the box and placed the ball into the net.

Macau made occasional forays with long ball and came close to finding equaliser twice?through Mak Chi Leong and substitute Lei Kam Hou.

The hosts, now assured of a medal, will meet Mozambique in the final on January 28, while Macau will fight for the bronze against Sri Lanka the same day.
