Kuldeep Yadav set to miss second Test against South Africa for his wedding

As per media reports, premier spinner Kuldeep Yadav will not be available for the second Test, having requested leave from the BCCI to get married.

The two-match Test series between India and South Africa is underway, but India is set to miss a key player in the next game.

As per media reports, premier spinner Kuldeep Yadav will not be available for the second Test, having requested leave from the BCCI to get married.

Kuldeep, 30, is scheduled to tie the knot in the final week of November, which coincides with the second Test starting on November 22. Earlier this year, on June 4, he got engaged to Vanshika, an LIC officer and his childhood friend. Their long-standing friendship is now set to turn into a lifelong partnership.

His absence is being seen as a significant setback for the Indian side as they look to finish the series strongly.

Meanwhile, veteran pacer Jasprit Bumrah took five wickets in the first innings of the opening Test against South Africa at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The Proteas were dismissed for 159 in 55 overs in the second session. On a wicket that was expected to help the spinners, Bumrah proved to be unplayable. None of the South African batters posted a fifty in the proceedings dominated by the host nation.
